Toasted Mate Loose Herbal Tea
Brazilian toasted mate with a mellower, yet full bodied character. Toasty, with a comforting chicory note, and hints of tobacco. Because of this tasting character, mate makes for a great alternative to coffee. The toasting process is similar to coffee roasting and yields a darker, deeper cup that still offers its energizing effects.
Steeping Instructions: 1 teaspoon in a cup at 150°F (65°C) for 3-5 minutes.
*Note: Unlike most herbal teas, all varieties of mate tea contain high amounts of caffeine.
